If you are a bit of jet-setter, then you will be pleased to know that this role involves spending plenty of time in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato as well as other areas of New Zealand. During the Apple and Kiwifruit packing seasons which run from February to May every year, a lot of your time is likely to be Bay of Plenty based.

For this role, customer focus and previous Mechanical and Electrical analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance experience is essential in order to hit the ground running.

You will also have:

  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Being self-motivated and take ownership, with the ability to work without supervision
  • Experience with packaging machinery a bonus
  • Being able to interpret and update required documentation
  • A strong understanding of automation machinery and fault finding
  • Confidence in mechanical fittings i.e. changing motors, pulling bearings, replacing belts
  • Ideally holding a current electrical practicing license

You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing machinery at customer sites across NZ (Niverplast and ARKMUS), providing timely, exceptional customer service in person and over the phone. On job training will be provided so that you will be ready for the busy season in the new year.
