Based in rural Franklin, Jet Black Fan Systems is a trading division of Punchbowl Packaging which is a renowned family owned & operated Packaging business operating since the mid 1990's. We are part of the wider Punchbowl Group which provides us access to a vast range of resources.

Originally set up to provide solutions for Punchbowl Packaging's core customers, Jet Black Fan Systems has now evolved into a fully fledged business targeting multiple sectors across NZ. This past year has seen amazing growth, with the opportunity for much larger market potential. We are looking for an energetic person to help grow our market share and scope out new opportunities.

This role is being created to grow the sales (new and existing clients) and develop relevant marketplace product offerings that underpin the growth of the business into new markets across NZ. Although this is primarily a sales focused role it requires a broad skill set that also incorporates elements of after sales support, technical product development and new product launch.

Location: Head office is based in Patumahoe

Travel: National role where you manage your own customer visits

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and reinforce the value of our products and service to our customers
  • Proactively seek new prospect leads and convert to a customer
  • Customise customer specific solutions demonstrating best practice processes, materials & technologies
  • Designing bespoke site requirements
  • Accurately manage the entre sales process from customer enquiry to post install follow up
  • Accurately forecast sales targets, and present to management regularly
  • Arranging compliance, seismic & engineering checks for new & existing products
  • Support marketing and strategic planning at a high level
  • Identifying & assisting development process of new products or addons
  • Drive a high level of customer satisfaction through their entire sales & install journey
  • Self-manage national travel

Successful applicant will have:

  • Solution selling experience
  • Exceptional customer service & relationship building
  • Proven sales conversion
  • Proven sales hunting
  • Well organized with excellent time management
  • Accurately read and assess building plans
  • Technical ability to map out accurate site measurements and building specs
  • Some experience AI, CAD or CFD software is a bonus

You will be able to demonstrate 3-5 years of experience in sales of similarly technical products, ideally within an HVAC, Air Con, Cooling, Heating or building design industry. You will also be able to successfully close deals remotely, on zoom or over the phone, as we have many customers that live outside of Auckland and only larger sites will require in person visits. This is a solutions focused role that requires innovative lateral thinking and creativity to challenge the status quo and provide the best solutions. A key success factor in the role is the ability to identify new opportunity for growth in new products, as well as upholding compliance and relevant building code requirements.
