Due to exciting growth, a unique opportunity to join their team as an Automation Service Engineer has arisen in the Bay of Plenty region. You will be an integral member of the team and uphold their values by bringing your hands on diagnostic and fault fixing skills, strong work ethic and collaboration skills to their existing hardworking and supportive team.

You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing machinery at customer sites; providing timely, exceptional customer service in person and over the phone. A customer focus and previous Mechanical and Electrical analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance experience is essential in order to hit the ground running, along with:

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Being self-motivated and take ownership, with the ability to work without supervision
  • Experience with Niverplast packaging machinery a bonus
  • The ability to follow procedure and assist with managing the compliance process
  • Being able to successfully prepare and update required documentation including wiring diagrams
  • Having a great sense of humour and being a team player
  • High attention to detail and accuracy – an eye for detail is a must!
  • A knack for building relationships with existing and new customers
  • A strong understanding of electrical design and fault finding
  • Confidence in mechanical fittings i.e. changing motors, pulling bearings, replacing belts
  • Ideally holding a current electrical practicing license and/or a relevant Mechatronics/Engineering Degree
  • Ideally have come PLC programming experience or a willingness to learn
